As someone unfamiliar with TAZ (and doesn't mind spoilers), what's this AU you're talking about?
It’s an animated series I’ve been working on! (To be honest, it doesn’t have too much to do with TAZ, other than me drawing parallels between the two.)
Essentially, it’s an AU where “Dealing With Intrusive Thoughts” didn’t happen. After SvS, Deceit went to complain to Remus about how much they were lying to themselves, and to each other. Rather than Remus’s suggestion being “Oh, I’ll show them honesty”, his suggestion was “Well, how about you fuck everything up so badly that they can’t lie about it?”
Hesitantly, Deceit tried to do that, and it backfired on him horribly. Technically, he accomplished his goal, but at a heavy price for himself. (I’m currently working on another concept sketch that may show exactly how!)
It’s a completely rewritten version of an old animatic series I trashed. It begins with Virgil having a nightmare, and leads to Deceit living one. Hence the title “What a Nightmare!”

I mean, once had a rp with a humanoid eldritch abomination using Japanese emoticons in written messages and we all just came to the conclusion that these days, what's more eldritch and weird than a terror rising out of the sea bedecked in tentacles and lichen? I mean, that’d work if I could write that fast, but it’d realistically be more one a week over about a month. Because if I’m going chapter by chapter anyway I am not going to have the resolve to hold onto them once they’re done.
