Max Greenfield talks about New Girl Season 6, Ice Age: Collision Course and his other projects.

Greenfield himself was more than a little thrilled when the call came through to join Ray Romano, Denis Leary et al. in the fifth film of the franchise. “It’s my first one of these (animated movies),” he says, “and Ice Age is one of the big ones.”

The film he’s off to shoot next — The Glass Castle — definitely fits the “special” bill. Fellow cast members include Naomi Watts and Woody Harrelson, while Greenfield will play fiance to newly-minted Oscar winner Brie Larson. After that, it’ll be back to New Girl for season six. “Schmidt’s married now, so it’ll be interesting to see what the writers do with him from here on in,” Greenfield says. “He might not take his shirt off so often, Hit suggests. “He might get fat,” Greenfield offers. “That won’t be a problem for me.”
