The busy-ness of the ant, however, could be seen in many homes these past several weeks. With most gardens bounteous in their harvest, many the “fruits of labor” have been canned, frozen, pickled, diced and preserved. It’s been a year of sharing too–not only the “Goodies,” but also the recipes for keeping them have been passed around. (Seems there’s always something “new,” “easier,” “faster,” or “better” under the sun.) Advance reports predict a cold winter ahead. But there should be many reminders on the tables of this Summer’s blessings.
