Did the SPN transcript search for the word “Sammy” to check the trends and found some fascinating things.
The least amounts of Sammys seem to be in s11 and s14, with the most amount of gaps between episodes. Between 14.02 and 14.08–which is notable because Dean is actually in those episodes.
Other than Dean and John early on (plus 4.13), the person who says “Sammy” the most is Lucifer and later Nick in 14.17. Do with that information what you will.
After she’s resurrected, Mary only says “Sammy” once, and it’s when she’s talking to the baby Sammy in her dreamworld.
@whetstonefires somewhat related thought to “if canon is vague figure things out from what we can see” - how do you consider the wings that Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis have, as working?
As in, are they biological? Should they go through clothes, hidden away somehow until spread?
Or are they largely magical in nature, capable of being told to effectively go away, but never gone completely, something that doesn’t rip through clothes for whatever reason?
Because of various things (I mean, if nothing else Genesis didn’t seem to have his at the end in Banora, but is seen with it again in the Dirge of Cerberus secret ending) I’m somewhat tempted to say the latter, but I’m curious to know what your thoughts are on it too.
Six Fascinating Things about Today
That my beloved and beautiful dog Swirl just ripped open a plastic bag full of litter box leavings and ate the cat’s poop has affected, at least momentarily, my near worship of him as a once in a lifetime dog. Said dog was on television tonight because a TV reporter interviewed us about the weather, did we think it being unusually warm in March was nice, which I said, of course, even though I…

I'm learning how to play the Daredevil theme on piano.
How can a A-flat major sound so much sadder than a C minor?
I'm fascinated.
I'm getting this feeling of standing on the edge of something fascinating that I want to delve into and explore but I haven't figured out the core of it yet.
It's about friendship. And what that word really means. And the fact that different people have different perspectives on what a friendship should be and that impacts how we interact with each other.
It's about norms and the value platonic relationships are or aren't given. It's about psychology and interpersonal interactions. It's about how something that looks like a friendship from the outside doesn't necesseraly have to feel like one for the people in it. Are one-sided friendships a thing? (Where one person consider the other a friend but not the other way.) What about the intersection between family and friends? When does friends become family? And why do some people consider a family member a friend but others doesn't?
There are all these dynamics around friendship that I haven't explored to their full extent yet and I want to find that new and exciting insight that I know is buried deep inside this somewhere.
I still sometimes go back to the memories of off chance meetings with people. People that I never going to see again and that I sometimes don't even know the name of. But somehow, we still shared something important in those moments. Those meetings that still lives in my memory, even if they were brief.
Just because something didn't last doesn't mean it wasn't meaningful.
