So I really love myths and fairytales, and I have started noticing a pattern with personification. Earth, and Spring are almost always woman. Winter and wind are almost always men. The sun can be both but seems to lean masculine. However, I have seen the moon depicted as a man an equal amount of times I have seen it as a woman.
I asked my mother what she say the moon as, a man or a woman. she answered, after some thought, the cressant moon is a man with a sharp beard, the full moon is a woman with a full, round face.
Anyway gender fluid moon is something that I have to incorperate into my fantasy story now. The idea is too good not to use.
