For the moments of silence that stretched between the question and his answer, the Tarnished wondered if perhaps, even though she felt a kindred in some ways with him and enjoyed speaking about the 'greater' things with him, perhaps she asked too much too bluntly. Still, to hear his answer, she let her thoughts circle around it, mulling it over and studying it almost instinctively, her years in academia still leaving habits ingrained in her. She laid down in the grass, the feeling of the wind softly brushing the coarse blades against her skin and the faint scent of dirt and oncoming rain tickling her senses.
Butterflies...and the feeling of panic sprouting from a sense of calm... by all means said manifestations of fear would be strange to hear, and yet, she could understand at least part of what he meant by it.
Eyes that so reminded her father once upon a time of the sea turned to gaze at Sparrow, her eyes widening slightly as she listened to him speak up. "You are...close to a mark for certain. My family and I have...at the least, loved the sea for as long as I can remember, yet I have never once been upon the waves save for the few times I have let myself drift in them close to the shore."
Sitting up, she rummaged through her pack to pull out one of the many notebooks she'd managed to collect through her adventures. Flipping through the pages, she passed it over to him, the pages opened on two sketches; one of a giant jellyfish with stingers surrounding but not touching the silhouette of a figure, and the other of a shipwreck. "I don't know if I would say it is a creature in the ocean that embodies my fear most, but the unknown that lurks in the deep, untouchable by one such as me, and yet still capable of causing ripples so grand they are noticed even by those of us on land. That is the best way I can describe my own fear manifestation."
