romeo barely spares a second before he's marching across the room, a growl in the back of his throat. "that guy's not getting his moment because you're mine," he seethes, feeling his gut twist painfully at the words. he's spent so long trying not to be a jealous idiot, but romeo knew it would all come to a head eventually.

                             “   i'm   a   sap   or   what   ?    wanted   to   try   at   some   writing    .   .   .    thought   i'd   share   .   ”    lazily,    calloused   fingertips   pluck   and   strum   along   worn   strings,    tune   humming   thoughtfully   under   breath   while   he   wonders   if   maybe   perhaps,    he's   too   obvious   .    too   forward   with   his   feelings   .   “   haven't   shared   anything   yet   with   the   group,    but   i   want   your   feedback,    since   you're   sorta   a   genius   or   whatever   .   ”    playfully,    he   reaches   to   give   a   half   -   hearted   shove,    leaning   closer   as   he   does   .   “   tell   me   what   you   think,    how'd   you   feel   about   the   lyrics   if   they   were   aimed   towards   you   ?   ”

                             “   god,    actually   ”    hands   raise   with   exasperation,    agitation   obvious   as   she   tosses   tresses   behind   narrow   shoulders   .    “   you   don't   know   a   goddamn   thing   .   i   am   happy,    and   i   am   in   love   !    so   whatever   it   is   you've   deluded   yourself   into   believing   in    .   .   .    it   isn't   true,    not   with   me   it   isn't   .   ”    same   hands   dart   to   shove   violently   at   them,    quick   to   recreate   depleted   space   .   “   why   won't   you   just   leave   me   the   hell   alone,    let   me   have   my   life   .   ”

          “ i don’t think i heard you the first time. ” fingers flirt with the collar of their top. the femme’s lashes fluttering just as she looks into their eyes. “ speak up a little louder for me, please. i think you just admitted to something but i didn’t catch what it was. ”

          “ just, uh, out of pure curiosity ... what do you remember about last night ? ”

          “ well, aren’t you a fucking peach. ” hand damn near crushing the red plastic cup in her hand. “ it’s been a week since we’ve broken up and you’ve got her hanging off of your damn arm ? ”
