requested by @jeezsophia ❤️ college is finally over for the summer so i can get to work on everything in my drafts!! sorry for the wait everyone!

- this kid doesn’t know what he’s doing, for starters

- he’s bragged about having lots of relationships but as we all know that’s a complete lie

- so you have to kind of,, show him the ropes

- he’s got a weird perception of relationships, but you blame that on his nerdiness and lack of knowledge of what an actual relationship is like

- he tries his hardest to be his usual confident self but it’s actually pretty hard

- he finds himself feeling really nervous around you

- but despite this, he’s pretty hands on, always wanting to sling an arm over your shoulder, hold your hand, kiss you, etc at every opportunity

- he of course does this the most around his friends, showing you off to them all

- you feel bad for them having to put up with him all the time

- but they’re actually impressed you’re dating him

- “those dorks could only dream of bagging a babe like you, y/n” he laughs, mocking them

- he loves to call you babe

- because in his eyes, that’s what you are

- he thinks you’re the hottest person on the planet

- you laugh and tell him he needs to get out more, but he replies with “no, seriously, you’re the hottest person I have ever actually seen. like hotter than phoebe cates”

- he likes to take you to parties, like the ones at jake ryan’s house

- you literally have no clue how that friendship occurred but you don’t question it

- he can get a little carried away with dancing but you find it hilarious

- and you usually end up crashing on a couch, him pulling you close as you fall asleep together

- he takes you to the school dance too, where you spend the evening singing and dancing away

- and if he’s lucky you’ll let him take you to the mechanics classroom for a sneaky make out session

- ted isn’t very good at talking about his feelings in a genuine way though

- he’s so used to being all confident and a show off that he finds it hard to actually be truthful sometime

- like his usual compliments and whatever are cheeky ones like “you’re looking fine ;)” or “goddamn babe!! you’re so hot!!”

- so he’s not very good at expressing he’s love for you or giving sweeter compliments

- but when he does, it’s very genuine and cute and you can’t help but melt at his dorky cuteness

- kissing with him is... interesting.. to start with

- braces get in the way sometimes

- and he uses a little way too much tongue

- so you have to tell him that’s not what you’re meant to do

- he gets embarrassed but you reassure him that it’s okay and it’s a learning curve

- over time he does improve and you find yourself really enjoying it

- you never thought a geek could be so good at it but hey, life is full of surprises

- talking of surprises, he’s definitely one for buying you lots of gifts

- spoiling you is one of his favourite things to do

- flowers, candy, whatever you want, as long as he has enough pocket money he’ll get it for you

- at first you think it’s him trying to keep you around by buying your affection

- but he admits he actually just likes seeing you happy when he surprises you with things

- which you find adorable and you can’t say no when he offers things because you don’t wanna see him get upset over it
