a) Is there a minimum word count for fanfiction?

b) Can they be uploaded on any other series/collection, including any anonimous one?

c) Is there a maximum of fanfiction we can upload? Or the more the merrier?

We love to answer all your questions, don't worry about it!

a) There's no minimum word count or limit. You don't even have to post your entire multichapter fic. If you only have a few chapters ready or even just one, you can totally submit it and it counts. What matters is that your fanwork is new to our event (meaning: it's never been shared during a previous AAW).

b) Yes, you can add them to other collections. I'd be careful with Unrevealed ones, though, since those will hide your fic for all of us.

c) Nope! You can submit as many as you want, the more the merrier indeed! Just, as I said, what matters is that they're new to our event (and feature aromantic characters). Other than that, you're free to create as much as you want!

It's not that we don't think RPF is a fandom; it's more that, given the nature of the event and its focus on exploring arospec identities, we feel uncomfortable speculating about real people in that context.

We respect everyone who chooses to write those kinds of stories, but we prefer to keep this event focused exclusively on fictional characters.

Your fanwork doesn’t have to be new, it only has to be new to the event. This means that, as long as you’ve never submitted it to a previous edition of our fandom week, you’re good to go.

And remember you can also add it to our AO3 collection! Just type “AAW26” in the settings of your fic.

Hi! Actually, it's neither.

During AAW, we encourage you to freely create whatever you want, without prompts or guidelines. The only "rule" is your fanwork must focus on one or more aromantic characters (whether canon or headcanon).

Of course, you can mention other aspects of their identity (asexuality is the most common association), but the focus should remain on their aromantic experience.
