The Quiver
A collective of cats living just outside of the Clan territories settled in a hollowed section of the forest.
Group Masterpost
Regardless of their difficult past, the current group is known for its accepting but intense nature. Though they are likely to accept cats from any background they do not tolerate or forget any acts that may be perceived as threatening or treacherous which can result in lingering distrust between individuals and families. Though independent they are loyal and keep their allies close, some of which aren't even considered proper groups but have earned their respect and companionship.
Group Dynamics
Leadership: Part of their self-reliance as well as what sets them apart from the Clans and neighboring groups is the use of multiple leaders who are independently tasked with maintaining certain parts of the group. This was partially put into place to make being overthrown more difficult
Division One: Dedicated to maintining the quality of life within the group (population)
Division Two: Dedicated to maintaining health and wellness within the group (health)
Division Three: Dedicated to maintaining the defense and strength of the group (protection)
Lordship: Specifically chosen cats who are specifically trained to take the place of a specified leader following their death or retirement
Organized via the Division system
Lords are often not related and are chosen by leaders at varying times and can be varrying ages however they participate in joint training to ensure peaceful cooperation in the future
They are expected to partake in difficult situations and make difficult decisions to prepare for leadership, this may include being sent on exclusive and solo missions
Advisors: Cats that have been specifically recognized by the leaders for their exceptional skill within the varying divisions and can be trusted to handle situations or make decisions if the Leader or Lord is absent
Division One: Advisors are rare as the leader's job is often defined by their personal experience and does not often require additional assistance
Division Two: Commonly are cats who have experience or familiarity with herbs and healing who are reliable enough to collect herbs and use them properly
Division Three: Typically strategically and physically inclined and have a previous reputation with the Leader and can be relied on for patrols and tactics
Specialists: A small collection of cats who are knowledgeable about specific tasks that may give them advantages in a unique way
Gardeners: Cats who don't know how to heal but have knowledge of plants and can help maintain or check them
Assisted Warriors: Cats who are in some way physically disabled that have acclimated to warrior life and adapted to situations everyday warriors are not accustomed to
Companions: Cats who can be relied upon to take a break from their duties to care for someone else (Fostering kits, helping elders, preparing Trainees)
Guides: Cats that have an advanced knowledge that puts their skill above the everyday warrior in one way or another
Warriors: The common Quiver cat who maintains everyday life inside of the group by hunting, patrolling, and defending the group
Promoted from Trainee once they can reliably provide for the group without being supervised or guided
Trainee: Young cats who are over 5 months old and in training for their selected field
Assigned a set warrior (decided by the leader and the warrior) who will guide them, observe their progress, and help them develop into an adult
Not trained by one warrior, often trained and sent on patrols with other cats to ensure the development of a diverse skillset
As training continues the set warrior will become less and less prominent before becoming obsolete, there is no formal promotion from Trainee to Warrior it happens progressively
Queens and Kits: Cats who have had or are caring for kits before they advance to training or grow out of their care
Foster or Adoptive parents are not uncommon and are allowed breaks from their duties, these cats are often Companions or have volunteered to take on the job
Keepers: Cats have retired from their work for one reason or another
Can be elders, cats who are no longer able to work, or cats who are superficially injured or in recovery
Foundations
Early days:
Created by a tom named Arrow an ex-kittypet who wanted to create a safe place for his young half-sister Clover to grow up and live in.
Began small, slowly accumulating cats to its ranks including a tom named Freeze who Arrow became quick friends with.
Following a hard winter that put the entire group at risk their friendship splintered. Cats begin to go missing or are discovered dead all while Freeze is organizing a group of cats against Arrow, using the winter as an excuse.
The Big Shift:
After organizing a coup Freeze lures Arrow onto the Backroad with Clover where she is maimed and her brother is killed.
Freeze claims control over the entire Quiver and quickly devolves into disorganization as he focuses almost exclusively on strength and forces the members to fend for themselves.
Clover grows up within the environment, attempting to escape and always failing until finally succeeding and arriving in BloodClan and meeting a tom named Wolf, the two travel to ThunderClan and The Echo.
In her absence Freeze becomes enraged at not knowing where Clover is and in a stroke of luck is approached by a BloodClan cat named Smoke who he conspires with. With a common enemy, they kidnap Wolf's son Larkberry and press him for information before releasing him and following him to The Echo.
The Quiver Loses:
During the battle, Clover manages to kill Freeze and Smoke is killed along with him. Without a leader the group devolves even more into chaos.
Cocoa, an old tom steps up to try and organize the group. Though he has good intentions he is too gentle and is chased out by twins Max and Minnie.
Max and Minnie take over as leaders though neither has an interest in taking care of the group.
Olli kills Max and chases Minnie out and takes over as leader.
Regaining Control:
As the new leader Olli struggles to settle into his role, soon after he becomes the leader he helps The Echo fight against the Bloodseekers and allow them to become independent, creating a steady alliance between the two.
Following the battle Olli reorganizes the group to follow Arrow's morals an act that causes multiple attempts on his life by Freeze's remaining followers who felt betrayed by the change. He sends away the remaining population of Freeze's loyal warriors, both by force and willingly.
Angered and still devoted to Freeze a warrior named Rumble dedicated his life to recreating the great power The Quiver had during Freeze's reign by following his rules and would create the neighboring group The Overcast who would become a group-wide threat.
Some cats feeling guilty about their past leave on their own accord, a few creating a small collection of cats called The Legion that is made up of five families who had high reputations under Freeze or in The Overcast and had a change of heart and now desired simple and peaceful lives. These families are peaceful and allies with The Quiver, often helping one another out.
Olli appoints the Division system and chooses Aaron, a dedicated and kind tom to be the first Division leader, and Ari, an old friend, and experienced healer to be the second Division leader.
The group would strengthen under this leadership and grow into the modern Quiver
