"Dawno, dawno temu nasi rodzice i dziadkowie opuścili planetę zwaną Ziemią. Statkiem o nazwie Geographic wybrali się do gwiazd i znaleźli raj. Ale ten raj zmienił się w piekło…" – Niven Larry, Pournelle Jerry „Dzieci Beowulfa”
O matko, totalna polecajka (dzięki Michał Hildebrandt), gierka Samorost to surrealno-psychedeliczna fantazja o drzewnych statkach i kosmicznych gnomach, od Amanita Design, małego czeskiego studia, point'n'click

Hi hi everyone! This is an OC from my work 'Kwiat Paproci' (The Fern Flower). It's a story about a girl named Bogna, who is searching for the mythical Fern Flower to bring her father back to life. She is an Exorcist that can get rid of different spirits from folklore (like Wiła's, Południca's or Topielec's). Will she find what she is looking for? And what is she willing to sacrifice?
Pl: Siemaneczko!

[ENG] Curse Witch creating her curses! Jagoda Wilczek is a character from a book series by a polish author Magdalena Kubasiewicz. I really like how in the books creation of spells is described as "braiding", which lets you better imagine how much work the heroine must put into it, like with normal handcrafting. 🌺 Check out my Ko-fi page if you like my art and would like to show me your support 🌞🌺
Fantastyka (September 1990) The September 1990 issue of the Polish science fiction and fantasy magazine Fantastyka included a Witcher short story by Andrzej Sapkowski, called "Kwestia Ceny" (A Question Of Price).
It is now part of the collection of short stories titled “Ostatnie Życzenie” (The Last Wish) and also features in the fourth episode in Season 1 of the Netflix adaptation of “The Witcher”….

you know those charts depicting the rapid growth of domestic chickens over the decades
well, after seeing the original publication of a shard of ice in fantastyka magazine (topic for another post because it really is just wonderfully illustrated by jarosław musiał)
i was thinking, after seeing these illustrations... when my heart jumped for joy at seeing art of books-geralt, taking no visual influence from adaptations-not-yet-made...
(i've censored yennefer's sorceress-presenting... for tumblr)
that the remarkably-accurate-to-his-prose-descriptions-shaped geralt looks nothing like his modern interpretations
and, well...
when lined up like this, it really is more drastic than you think. what ARE they doing to him. bring who and what geralt is supposed to be back. this is so unfair. for geralt and for the body standards these changes represent
