Ever since I read that Andrew S will be doing some theatre this year, I just cannot help thinking that if The Bacchae should happen under James MacDonald's direction, Andrew should play King Pentheus against Ben's Dionysus. That would be a great reunion of the triad, and plus both roles suit each actor perfectly.
Given that Almeida is relatively small/intimate and can be more experimental(?), a sleek/modern production may be expected but that makes me wonder how different it is going to be from Alan C's campy Bacchae for the National Theatre of Scotland- this question makes the wait quite exciting but also makes me a bit antsy.
