So, today - long post... - I barely slept and spent the day on autopilot. - On my first class, I forced them all to go back out and come back in slowly and politely - colleague wasn't here yet. I did not let them off the hook. *proud* - I talked with colleagues about the RJ project. - I went to the English Dept secretariat, asking if they thought I could go and ask Mr Shakespeare about a PhD subject. - I WENT TO SEE ME SHAKESPEARE. - Basically, a historicist perspective is good. And to question the use - and veracity and bias - of 16th century sources for Shakey and Marlowe is an 'absolutely legitimate concern'. - I may mot need a co-tutelle. - I have to send him a page explaining my subject in further details. - He remembered me from the Shakey-Marlowe class (it was in 2012). - At a crossroad I stopped and tried to go backward to let a car pass WITHOUT checking my rearview. I ran into another car. I panicked and drove around the block. Saw the driver, stopped. And was so stressed and panicked that I was just a trembling mess, and crying and apologizing and did I wreck his car? I told him how sorry I was to have gone away, but I panicked. - I think he was angry but he was really kind and he explained that no, I didn't break his car, nothing to worry about but "try and stop, alright? I'm French too, and I can tell you people in Geneva would be very keen on calling the police." - I found a car spot, parked my car, fixed my plate light at the rear. - GOT A COFFEE AT STARBUCKS. - Went to the Uni library to borrow tons of books. - Went shopping stuff (MOLESKINE NOTEBOOKS!!!) - Went to the fencing lesson, and fenced like a zombie with 5 other zombie. Things I haven't done yet: shower and sleepsies.
