HEY GUYS WE'RE ALMOST THERE [ celebratory noises ] with Tess covering Nine, Eleven and Amy, and Di apparently consequentially doing River, we've basically got everyone down aside from Ten and Jack [ the former because I don't want to make Di play Ten AND Rose when there's some TenRose going down ]. I'll ask around on my blog and then hope we can find the last member soon. one last thing I wanted to discuss with everyone, though, was names for the Doctor -- since they obviously can't all be named ' the Doctor ' now and I doubt any parents would give their kids name by numbering them BD ; [ especially since that would make the Right Hand Man something like Ten And A Half / laughs ] puttin' out some suggestions here, but I'd definitely like to hear yours, because I basically only play Tentoo and since he's the youngest I think he's just going to be named in the line of Ten's name so that one should be decided first. BD ;
okay, first idea is the one most at hand -- actor names. I'm quite fond of naming Ten John, though, since he's BEEN John, and DT's full name is David John McDonald anyway so we can probably get away with that. if Ten's John, Tentoo could be David, Donald or William [ I quite insist on William for reasons but shhh. ] Nine might just be Chris? Eleven could be Matt, Matthew or Robert [ middle name, again ] second suggestion -- is a bit more complicated. ; super pureblood wizard families aka the Malfoys / Blacks all seem to pick pretty complicated names for their kids, so John / Chris / Matt / etc might be too Muggle / Weasley and thus doesn't cut it for them I went to this baby naming site to look up a name that meant nine / ninth, but couldn't find anything nice. when I typed in ' eldest ' , however ( as he's the eldest out of the four ), I found a name meaning ' eldest of TWINS ' : Odion. which could be shortened to Dion ( or odi but shh ). and that easily waters down to John. Odion is actually an African name, but I couldn't help but be reminded of Odin, from Germanic mythology ... so maybe they could all be named after gods from there? ; I know Thor's a big fandom right now and all [ and Chris is in it to boot B'D ] but there's quite a few alternate spellings -- Odin is also commonly known as Wodan, Thor is Donar / Thunaer, Loki can be called Loptr, etcetera. [ or you could make links to deities from other cultures, like Odin = Zeus / Dias, Loki has been likened to Promotheus, yadayada ] I think this is mostly gonna be Tess' call, though, as she has 2 out of 4 Doctors, so it's whatever you like / are most comfortable with. c:
