Pumping his arms, he continued to run down the path in the park that he ran through almost every day. He liked this path because no one ever went on it. It winded through the pavement, deep into the woods, and even to a peaceful creek Jude sometimes stopped to admire. It was his own little place where he could think and everything in his head went silent and silence was something he treasured. And he also kept this path because he liked things to stay the same so he could keep it as a routine. Today, though, his routine was thrown off a little when he delayed his run for a little later in the day. Usually he did it early in the morning right when the sun was coming up but it was too wet from the previous rain that had poured down that night, so he waited until now to take it. Resting by the creek, he pulled off his shirt that had stuck to his back and set on a rock as he caught his breath. Jude had no idea someone had found his special spot and was near by.
