Fletcher woke on Christmas morning next to his beloved husband. Unfortunately the little girls they had tried adopting chose not to stay with them. He rolled over and hugged Alphonse tight. He hated not being able to have kids for this holiday, but maybe next year he guessed.

Alphonse woke up slowly. He smiled a little at Fletcher. His arms wrapped around Fletcher. He could tell Fletcher was still a little upset, but how could he help Fletcher feel any better?

"Good morning Fletcher, I'm sorry you feel so upset. I wish there was a way I could help." He kissed Fletcher's head. "I knew you wanted to have kids for this day, but they chose not to stay with us. I don't want that bringing you down."

Fletcher returned the kiss. "I'll do my best not to let it get to me. I just really wanted kids." He whimpered a little bit and snuggled his husband. He didn't like to feel like this, but today was supposed to be happy. He stretched out and got out of bed. "Come on Alphonse I want to give you your presents."

Alphonse chuckled and got out of bed."ok Fletcher, ok. Sheesh you're just like a little kid." He laughed when Fletcher grabbed his hand and began to pull him down stairs. "Ok ok you got me! I'm coming!"

Fletcher pulled him  all the way to the tree downstairs. He sat Alphonse down and brought him one of the six presents. Three where for Alphonse, and three where for Fletcher, they didn't have much money during the winter.

"Come on open it!" Fletcher was very excited for this. He knew it was going to make Alphonse very happy. He snuggled up to Alphonse and waited excitedly. He wanted Alphonse to get his gift.

"Ok ok." Alphonse laughed. He opened the present slowly. After having all the paper off, Alphonse opened the top of the box. "Oh my god!" He squeeze hugged Fletcher.

"I'm glad you like it." Fletcher chuckled a little. He smiled watching Alphonse grab the kitten out of the box. "I found her and thought instantly of you."

"I love her." Alphonse kissed Fletcher on the lips. "Her name is Nebula." He tells Fletcher putting an arm around him. "Thank you so much." Alphonse felt a little bad bot sure if anything he had got Fletcher coul compare.

When it was all said and done Alphonse hadn gotten a book on alchemy and a bunch of seeds the ishvalans normally used to grow herbs. Fletcher got two novels and a locket. The locket had Fletcher tackle hugging Alphonse.

Afterwards they suited up and headed out into the snow. Alphonse took them to a spot in the yard. "We can build a snow man here Fletcher." He then got Fletcher to help him get the base all rolled around.
