âWhat are youâoh,â she starts, instantly going from skeptical to flustered. She narrows her eyes like sheâs trying not to smile and mutters, âYou couldâve just said you wanted to hold hands, you know.â Then she adjusts her grip so itâs more comfortable and keeps walking like itâs no big deal, but it is.
Fenric:
âYouâre such a dork,â he says, but heâs already grinning. He tries to act unbothered, but heâs failingâyou can tell from how he keeps sneaking glances at your hands. Probably adds, âGuess Iâm stuck holding this now,â like heâs being put out, but his thumb starts brushing over yours unconsciously.
Lira:
She looks startled for a moment, blinking down at your hands like it took her a second to understand the joke. Then, the tiniest smile forms on her lips. She hums softly, like sheâs thinking it over, then just holds on. Doesnât say anything. just stays there, still and quiet, as if your hand fits perfectly. (She didn't know how to react. She combusted)

Oh, he loves this. âBold move,â he says with a slow grin. He leans in like heâs about to say something scandalous, then just gives your hand a small squeeze. Heâs not letting go anytime soon. Might even say something dumb like, âmaybe next you'd give me your heart.â so smuggly.

She raises a brow, entirely unimpressed. âSeriously?â But she doesnât pull away. Instead, she leans in just slightly and says, âYouâre lucky I like surprises.â Her grip is soft but deliberate. You can feel her watching your face out of the corner of her eye, fighting a smile.
as non-native English speaker, how do you write and have you faced problems?

But yes, I was not born with the privilege of learning English. Not at all!. In fact, I'm 24 and I just started learning English recently. Back when I was younger, our schools didn't support English teachings, so I didn't have the luxury to learn at all. But even when I started English lessons, it was something that barely scratched to the surface. I know many non-natives relate to what I'm saying. And yes, I faced a lot of problems, and I was frustrated with every time I tried to write sentences back then. I deadass only knew how to say "hello, how are you. Fine, thank you. " But I was satisfied, I wanted to learn more, and i wanted to tackle it even if I still suck with English to this day.
Struggling with ADHD also affected my writing and even my speech ability! My mind deadass runs fast for me to keep up, so I always forget what I wrote or that I end up missing 3 or 4 words in a sentence. Not only in English, but also in my native language as well.
As for writing, I also don't know how to write properly. I have friends who are always there to help me with grammatical errors and better ways to write a sentence. Including this @bathroom-lord dude. It was almost magical how 5 out of 7 online friends of mine are actually writers and I'm grateful for them all!
I'm going to give this advice to anyone who is like me: don't rush your writing, don't be afraid to make the first draft as messy as possible! You can edit it later and polish it however you see fit. Also, my number one advice, don't be ashamed to tell anyone you struggle. It's okay to ask for help from people who are more advanced in English or native speakers. Don't be afraid of a little criticism. And lastly, just do what you are most comfortable with. Don't pressure yourself. Don't think that you have to know fancy words or write in a certain poetic way! Simple English with the right grammar could really go a long way! And if your story is supposed to be from a certain era, again, don't be afraid to ask for help.

Lol, hi Anon. Thatâs a really interesting question. Iâd love to give an answer, but I just canât right now. Not because itâs a spoiler or anything, but because Iâve reached a point in this IF where I donât like what I wrote.
Itâs not even about my writing itself itâs the core idea that feels hollow, if that makes sense. I tried to make it interesting, even for myself, but I couldnât. Maybe the idea is too tropey or boring, Iâm not sure. Iâve tried fixing it in every way I could, but it didnât work.
Iâve had a lot of debates with myself about this, and Iâm still not happy with any of the outcomes.
I wonât lie, I wasnât even sure if Iâd ever release this IF. So⌠I scrapped it. All of it.
I know this isnât the answer you were looking for, but I think I can at least use this as an opportunity to explain my struggles and where Iâm stuck with the IF.
I donât really know what the future holds, but I hope Iâll find my answer. That being said, Iâm not going to abandon this blog or the IF, I just want to find a way to fix it.
