He had been on top of the lid of our recycling bin, which has been a prime cat spot ever since we draped a folded up blanket on it.
Except there was also a large crafts box there too, taking up most of the room. This is not why he fell.
We saw his plight and removed the crafting box. He immediately sprawled and stretched out across the blanket atop the lid. Then he rolled right to the front edge.
As we had just emptied the recycling bin two days ago, there wasn't much in it and a cat at the top rolling right to the edge made it top heavy and unbalanced.
The whole thing came tumbling down, cat and all, flipping the lid off the top and spilling out a few empty bottles and cans.
Many hugs were given.
