» for fallen-sehun Break Me: I will write an angsty drabble about our characters.
The gun was pointed to his temple, tears streaming down the male's face. Yixing was shaking, his finger on the trigger. Sehun reared forward, trying to grab the weapon but Yixing tightened his finger on it. Sehun paused, eyes flickering between the gun and the man holding it.
"Wh-What's wrong?" his cold facade was quickly forgotten.
Yixing let out a low growl, the chaos in his head screaming. "The wall, the wall," he was muttering, whispering to himself, "The wall in my head. It's breaking down, it's weak I can feel it. I just need to give it one last push and, and and..."
"And what?" Sehun demanded, not understanding his words.
"And I can understand! The wall is hiding something, these dreams mean something and I'm so close. Understanding, all the knowledge I want. I know it's behind that wall. I can hear it whispering but it's not clear," his fingers repositioned themselves on the gun, "This gun is the forbidden fruit and I just need to take one bite. One bite and everything is mine, all the knowledge."
"Yixing... you're mad... you're mad. Stop this."
"You don't understand!" he screamed, tears mixing with his saliva. The gun was now pointed at Sehun, point blank at his chest. "This... scratching in my head. I want to hear it and all I have to do is break down the wall. The dreams I have are real, I know it. I can live those dreams if I break down the wall."
"What's so damn great about these dreams anyway?" Sehun asked, voice not wavering despite the gun at the left side of his chest, "They're just dreams."
"Because I have a family in my dreams!" Yixing was breaking down, his voice louder and hands shaking harder. "In my dreams I have people who care about me and take care of me and worry when I step out of the house! Do you know what I have in this life?"
There was silence and Yixing continued, "I have no one. Do you know what my parents said when I left to board the plane to Korea? After over twenty years of being with them, do you know what they said when their son was about to go to another country?"
Sehun was quiet. Nothing was said, and Yixing's mad smile returned, "Exactly. You've got it. They said nothing."
Yixing drew the gun back and pressed it against his temple once again. The cool barrel felt nice. The barrier was so close to being broken down. He could almost feel the family from another life opening their arms to greet him.
"Yixing..."
He shut his eyes and whispered, "I'm home." And he pulled the trigger.
