((Forgive me, I am new to RP!))
Balthazar was flying.
Key word: flying, was.
In a split moment, his back was on fire; wings ablaze.
They were disappearing, along with every angels’ on the planet.
The sudden loss of lift plummeted him to the ground; an unfamiliar sensation since being a young fledging in the halls of Heaven.
That frightful feeling of helplessness.
He cringed at the tide of memories seeking to overwhelm his thoughts.
But unlike back then, no one would swoop to save him.
Down, down towards the ground he fell. Curling upon himself to lessen the impact.
He could heal but injuries still have an affect on angels, major injuries can cripple for a while.
As the ground came to meet him, he breathed a prayer he hadn’t spoken since he left the Host.
Again he knew no one would hear, a supposed dead angel, the cries of an angel who abandoned the Host.
He heard a dozen cracks just after hitting the unforgiving ground. Warm fluids covering him just before he blacked out.
Naomi had woken up with a splitting headache about half an hour ago. She knew instantly what had happened.
Memories flashed in her head, Metatron with a drill, blackness, then falling, and more blackness. But she knew there was no time to waste. Metatron could come after her any second, once he realized she had survived, or any matter of wild animals could come after her.
So she had gotten up, and started walking. She found a road, and continued her journey. It had to lead to a town eventually, or another angel, or something.
Walking with her arms crossed, trying to be small, felt degrading. She was an angel, she should be strong, not wandering around like a lost child.
And then she saw the broken figure lying on the ground, unconscious, bruised and battered, and she knew instantly it was one of her siblings.
Rushing over as fast as her mangled legs would carry her, she bent down, flipping the form over.
Confusion was the only emotion she registered. It was Balthazar. That dick was supposed to be dead. But here he was. She would know that presence anywhere.
She slapped his cheeks. “Wake up, Balthazar. Wake up.” A bit of healing energy arched down her arms and into the man’s body.
((Sorry! There was a bug with this starter that my reblogs weren't being published and support told me to start new thread))
He heard a voice. The voice of a certain someone he knew from the intelligence section of Heaven. Yet along with her urgent voice she added in a bit of healing energy, to amplify his own, then she also slapped his cheeks. Yup, it was certainly her.
Perhaps circumstances were different this time. He would have to see.
Struggling awake, he noted the familiar stern face over him.
With a sigh he sat up and braved the fight he may or may not incidentally start.
"Well, there mon chaire, what brings you to this fine neck of the woods?" He grinned, knowing this would at a degree infuriate her.
