The walk around that seemingly cold path was slowly tiring them. How long had it been since they had walked? How long till they reached civilization? They both knew nothing about this. They didn’t even know how many days had it been since, but the road was an endless white.

“Soon enough, Eve. We’ll find something soon enough.” Adam told his brother, as he knew impatience was attacking him at every second.

“Are you sure, Brother? How long has it been?” Eve replied, shaking his head a bit, as he didn’t want to think about it in reality. Adam wouldn’t reply to that, of course he wasn’t sure about either. Yet, he knew silence would only worsen the other’s impatience.

“Surely… if we walk towards th-” his comment stopped, as both of them heard a strange sound coming from above. Both quickly glanced at it, looking at nothing else as it fell some distance away from them, the impact shaking the ground for a while. They crouched and protected themselves in a slight embrace as the ground gradually stopped shaking.

Of course, once they regained their balance and stood up, they rushed to check it out.

     In the quiet eve of a star lit night, when the Crownsguard’s lids drooped heavily over the dull glow of his phone, the night split apart with the light of a sun bearing down heavily in the open fields stretched far below. The high pitched crooning of its rapid descent sent chills from nape along spine and chilling the blood in his veins. Yet he so nearly dismissed it as the last voyage of a meteor to burn up in their atmosphere, the resounding impact sent him skittering to his feet, fearing the worst.

     Silent as the grave he crept to the edge of the crater, crouched low over the brim to hide his massive bulk and oh what a curious sight to be greeted with! A form lifeless and limp amidst the rubble draws him closer to discover the lithe limbs of a man!

     Worry strikes him despite the origins of this mysterious being unknown, a common threat from the skies being that of Imperial make, he ventured further down taking time as his hostage until he could stand but feet away.

-Noting the bow, he assumes a less defensive position in an attempt to appear good in in intent-  I was simply walking.  However… I am not a knight. -He holds a hand to her, trying desperately to be friendly.  He had plans that would require him to shed the “silent loner” from himself.  He wondered fleetingly if it was even possible for him to do that, but he would try.  The gesture was obviously forced, and yet it matched the stoic expression he kept carefully absent of emotion.-  My name is Kain Highwind.. may I have the pleasure of knowing yours?  

"Oh, I'm sorry. Your armor looks similar to that of the Deist Dragoon Knights, is all." she cast him a sheepish smile, silently cursing herself for making yet another false assumption. Her face brightened when he offered her his hand, and she gladly accepted it. Though, he seemed a little on edge. "Maybe it's the outfit.." Maria though idly, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. It certainly wouldn't the first time someone found her choice of dress questionable. Whatever it was, she chose not to investigate further. When he uttered his name, it was as if her mood had taken a drastic turn. "Highwind...Highwind? Kain..Highwind?" her heart began to race. "Could it be..?" there was an awful sinking feeling settling into the pit of her stomach. She knew that name well. The owner of that name has no body under his gravestone...The last part of his questioned seemed to pluck her abruptly out of her thoughts, for she very visibly snapped back to attention.
