#fallen duo

Wings sprouted from his back as he fell hundreds of blocks into the pit. More feathers being ripped away from the wind than actually growing, and a constant feeling of your hair getting ripped out but ten times worse because the new anatomy was fresh and vulnerable. He held on to much of the wings as possible, but it didn't do much.

He thought he'd hit bedrock, but no, he just kept falling into the void because there was already a giant hole in the bedrock layers.

It must've been so much more painful for Grizz.

Then his lungs were being ripped out, drained, squeezed until there was nothing left. But he couldn't die, he was still immortal. And he fell, deeper and deeper into the darkness of the void until he felt something somewhat familiar: teleportation.

His sunglasses felt somewhat different.

He had a new anatomy.

He was where Grizzly was.

His sunglasses were lifted up for a second, rubbing his eyes and looking around. Red, a lot of red-

A knife at his throat.

Everything was still blurry and dizzy, but he knew who it was. He'd recognize those eyes anywhere.

"Grizzly?"

Red eyes, brown hair with a streak of white, ram horns and pug ears. A great, black wing raised high in the air in authority.

Cold laughter filled the Nether, echoing around the duo.

"You've come here to chase me even after death? Oh, I thought it would be Charlie, or even Condi!" Charlie's name was spat with venom. Grizzly had a psychotic smile. Kind of hot-

"But."

The knife inched closer to his throat.

"I guess I should've known you'd betray me too." Grizzly's voice was almost soft, if not for the slight singing of the words and the anger behind it. "Bizly."

His mind froze. His name. His name coming from Grizzly- said like that-

He hated it.

“Grizz-”

“Don’t say my name!” Grizzly hissed. Blood dripped onto Bizly’s hands.

Bizly couldn’t move. Not even to flinch away from the pain. More blood. But he... did deserve it, didn’t he? He was so pathetic. Couldn’t even stand up for someone he loved. His cheeks were wet, and something was running down his face. But it almost instantly disintegrated into the air. The knife was lifted from his throat, and he almost chased after it.

He didn’t register the knife being flung away, the loud clunk of it hitting the floor. He couldn’t process the warmth of arms around him, a body being pressed against him. A hand uncovering his hoodie and resting itself on his hair. Wings surrounding them.

Only the presence, the familiar scent was translated into comfort.

They exchanged no words. Not even “sorrys”. But they both knew what they meant. Regret, guilt, anger, shock, it was all thrown out the window when the two made contact.

They’d figure something out. Right?

But for now, the only thing that mattered to the fallen duo were their hands laced together, wings uneasily converging, and feeling each other’s presence, their heartbeats slowly falling into one simple rhythm.

So Grizzly's been corrupted by the apple. Apple was trying to take over Fallen Grizzly, and almost succeeded before Bizly landed. Apple's goal is to cause destruction and pain because it feeds on that. That's why even though Grizzly's gay as shit in this au for Bizly (/pos ofc) he doesn't hesitate to almost kill Bizly on the spot. But then Grizzly sees Bizly actually cry and that kinda brings the normal-ish Grizzly back.

Apple saw a moment of vulnerability when Grizzly was physically tired from growing his wings and literally breaking through bedrock with his body, and mentally drained from the betrayal.

Bizly doesn't even care anymore. Grizzly's like "oh shit thats my bf, apple get out of here"

thinking of making a 4th playlist just for the few seconds of grizzly falling. maybe "pov you just ate an apple and fell through a giant pit and now you're emo"??

“Grizz-” One of the figures tried under them, on the mismatched platform.

“No. Shut the hell up.” Bizly growled, the hooded figure speaking surprisingly first. “Do not speak to him.”

Charlie flinched as Bizly flew down to face someone who he once loved (and still-?).

Gods, what happened?

“You never gave me a voice, did you? You never heard my fucking thoughts. But now I’ll say them, and you’ll listen.” Bizly took a shaky breath, glasses now a glare. His words came out as a quiet, leveled voice. Charlie shrunk back.

“I fucking hate you. I hate you so, so much. You’re the absolute fucking worst! Those little games you played? Did you think those were funny? And I’m not just talking about us! Yeah, those a hundred players you trapped in a world, who had to work or they’ll fucking die? Those experiments. You- You made me think those things were okay! You made me think manipulation was the norm.”

A tear on the glasses.

Bizly couldn’t see Charlie’s face. Blurry.

“You took away everything from me- from us. My pride, joy, sense of right or wrong, my voice. You used me like a ragdoll. I’m just another prop in your perfect little story, aren’t I? And you know this universe wasn’t written this way. It was going to be my beloved here going, ‘Oh, Charlie, I am so sorry I made a joke you took so seriously you banished me to hell for two hundred years! Let’s play this- this emotional background music as I die for the second third time.’ But that’s not what happened, was it? I was so fucking hurt that I changed fate itself.”

I hate you.

“I hate you, Slimecicle. I wish I never knew you.”

Charlie looked like he was disintegrating, but that was just the tears. The hurt evaporating and blocking Bizly’s view from Charlie’s true emotions. But that didn’t matter. Why should Bizly care about his abuser’s feelings? That was what Charlie was to him now. Someone who took his admiration for them and abused it.

Bizly almost flinched when he felt Grizzly’s hand on his shoulders. He had almost forgotten Grizzly was there, drowning in the riptide of emotions. And Bizly was smoking too, breathing uneven and shuddering. Bizly automatically leaned into the touch.

He thinks he heard a soft, “It’s okay. I’ll take over now.”

Bizly shrinks back to the shadows and when Grizzly’s speech begins, he allows himself to sniffle, then cry, his shuddering breaths covered by Grizzly’s loud anime speech. His tears never hit his chin, and it felt surreal. Maybe this was all a dream.

He joined together to fight with Grizzly when the time came.

Swords clashed, and many regrets passed through all their eyes.

But they didn’t stop.

Axes in the lava. Golden apples eaten.

Crying.

A lot of tears.

Shaking,

Bizy leaned into Grizzly’s shoulders.

They won.

He didn’t feel like they won.

As Charlie’s unconscious body sank under the lava.

As Condi screamed, and for some reason, Grizzly holding Condi back from diving into the magma after their lover.

As he wondered, if he jumped into the lava as well, maybe this nightmare would end.

“Biz... Bizly! NO-!”

“Please don’t leave me again.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t ever, fucking try to die again.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I’m- I’m serious, Bizly.”

“...Hey, Condi?”

“...?”

“Why did you save me? I... It was my fault that he-”

“-It wasn’t your fault.”

The words were hollow.

“But it was.”

“What if they don’t want to see you?”

“...They probably don’t.”

Condi’s wings shook and dropped down. His tail curled around them even tighter.

“Charlie…”

“...”

“I’m sorry.”

Condi heard the grass rusting loudly before arms wrapped around him. They leaned into it slightly. Charlie’s voice rumbled.

“It’s okay. I’m sorry.”

The dragon tembled in the god’s arms.

“I hate this. Why did you do this...?”

Condi’s grip tightened.

“You didn’t mean it- tell me you didn’t mean it.”

“...I’m sorry, Condi.”

“Do you hate them?”

Bizly gently placed his hand over Grizzly’s as they watched the lava, churning and glowing. Grizzly’s reply came what felt like hours after.

“Do you?”

“Depends. On what you think.”

Grizzly softly tugged Bizly’s sweater, and Bizly complied. Grizzly’s wings surrounded Bizly completely and he leaned against his partner’s chest as the big dipper laid his head down on Bizly’s hair. As Grizzly’s arm held him, Bizly couldn’t care for the heat.

“That would depend... on what you think. Hey.”

Bizly latched onto the other’s arms tighter in response.

“You know I love you. So much. I’d die without you. Burned.”

“...”

“You saved me, Bizly. I’m... still so thankful for that.”

“...”

“Please never leave me.”

“...Of course. I love you too.”

Their conversation would turn into a dance. Twirling, dangerously close to the lava, and laughter echoing around the empty space all around them. Dipping down and feeling a rush of excitement and love.

Round and round. Everything blurring into one as the fires flickered up to his vision. He did a loop-de-loop in the air, just to show he could. A restriction, a rule that he broke. And no, no one was actually hurt in the burning building. No one innocent, that is.

Grizzly let his laugh freely travel all the way back to the sirens, or maybe it also got caught in the whirlwind of freedom.

Ah, freedom.

He’d been told all his life that he was free to do whatever he wanted, quit if he wanted to, but obviously that was a thin fucking lie. No, he’d been a caged bird with his wings losing their ability to fly until an angel from the skies came and set him free. He thought he was a house pet, a parrot, mimicking whatever the higher beings did and doing tricks he was told to do. Given a treat every so often and thinking that was the best thing in the world.

Static helped him realize Grizzly was allowed to want to reach out for freedom.

He was allowed to think. He was allowed to take a break. He was allowed to be a fucking human for once!

He’d been told all his life villains had no purpose other than destruction. And yes, that might be true. But what they destroyed were restraints. The government, capitalism, all blown away in a single press of a button.

It really was beautiful, opening the cages to all those trapped and lost birds. Forming a flock whose only purpose was to feel.

A blast of air hit Grizzly, and he didn’t fight it. He let himself be blown away, away from the guilt he’d feel later. Away from the stress, his childhood, his everything. He gave it all up. He never wanted to return. He never wanted to feel the cold, grey walls pressing up against his body and restraining him from what he was meant to be.

Grizzly allowed himself to be caught in the arms of Static. The sun and the moon touching, dancing. An eclipse.

See, did you see that? Allowed! Not forced. Not as a requirement, no, Grizzly chose that! Grizzly chose to give himself to someone.

Static chuckled and gave Grizzly a look that made Grizzly want to explode out of pure euphoria. That’s the word: euphoria. A hand lifting Grizzly up for him to finally learn how to fly by his own to the stardom that awaited him. Red and white lights flashing, a dance floor with only the two of them. Static’s arms around his waist, Grizzly’s arms around Static’s shoulders. Two pairs of wings around them, one spread out while the others kept them afloat. The duo didn’t need to exchange words. The smiles they gave to each other said everything. The fallen hero nodded and Static shot up into the air, away from the sirens and the flashing cameras.

The guilt hit him like a truck, focus snapping onto the consequences as no flashy lights were able to distract him. Remind him of why he was doing this.

When the wind stopped cutting around them, wet droplets fell from Grizzly’s face and onto Static’s warm shoulders. The fallen breathed in the scent of his savior, clinging onto him like a lifeline. His breathing was heavy from all the flying and now, the crying. Static held his precious jewel close, who had wrapped his wings around their faces. The villain murmured soft words to the other.

He missed them. Their stupid faces snickering as they exposed him as a fucking weeb in front of the entire world (he really didn’t mind. He got a lot, a lot of anime fanart from that). Those moments they cared for Grizzly because the trainer wouldn’t wait for Grizzly to finish molting. When Condi accidentally sent a chicken to another dimension, when Charlie found out he could talk to fungi and control their spores, when Grizzly made an 80 feet hole in their backyard and couldn’t cover it back up. And it wasn’t exactly all their fault Grizzly got this way.

But at the end, Grizzly didn’t regret joining Static.

The fallen hero, the bird who had the taste of freedom, held his angel closer to him.

I have one more completed drabble and one unfinished one in the worksss

a lil rant:

-- all i have for now is that Bizly was fallen first. Bizly used to be a hero known as "Fauna". but in contrast to his name, he had the power to destroy.

-- Bizly (or "Static"), when he holds something for a logn time, he can apply his power called Glitching. That makes the object or living thing first drained of energy, then becoming more transparent and glitchy until you can though through them. The effect can last a few seconds, minutes, hours, or even an entire day depending on how long Glitching was used.

-- Aaaand another thing: Schlatt's the reason why Grizzly fell. I don't really know how but Schlatt dragged Charlie and Condi (mostly Charlie) into an argument with Grizzly that made him leave the group.

-- Like in the Perspective Series, Gribzly are head over the heels for each other by the time Grizzly falls.

-- Grizzly hates Schlatt, and vise versa, but they have to work together to destroy stuff.

-- And they're okay! Until Grizzly goes a bit cuckoo.

-- Introducing: fallen grizzly but without his marbles! So i guess all the murdering got to grizz and he went a bit insane. like abusing his already too strong powers.

-- Oh wait I never told you about grizzly's powers. He has the power over non-living things in nature. like stone and dirt and rain and stuff. he can cause earthquakes.

-- One of the reasons why Grizzly was so restricted from freedom was because his powers are too strong, even for him. So when he uses the power too much, he ends up losing control of it and its really painful for him if he doesn't use the power.

-- Grizzly develops a taste for destruction.

-- Now Bizly was supportive of this at first, though worried. You know, it made Grizzly more relaxed and happy. But then he really started to get worried when Grizzly started destroying entire cities with innocent people.

-- Bizly doesn't know what to do.

-- At some point, there definitely will be a fight against Grizzly vs all three of them.

-- uh fuck I forgot what else i was gonna say
