How cute are they? . “They” are 3 of the 4 Cream Legbar chicks that now call Misty Meadows Homestead - home. . It was so much fun waking up to the sound of peep peep peep peep peep peep! . We...errr... I have wanted this breed for so long but was unwilling to pay the almost $20ea the feed store was asking for them this past spring. . We found a reputable, fairly local, person selling chicks for $7 (the roo was free) and had a friend pick them up for us last night. . And, since one of the 4 is supposed to be a rooster, we should be able to hatch our own next spring! . They are said to be docile and easy to handle, winter hardy, heat tolerant, great foragers and they lay a blue egg, Which really is where my fascination with them lies. .
