Jack had wanted to help with the potential war efforts, but Michael forbade him. He was reminded of how much of a bad influence Hell was for the soul and no matter what argument Jack tried to plead to be allowed to fight was ignored. It didn't make sense, but by now Jack knew not to question Michael...much.

Even at the worst of it, Michael kept him close so he couldn't sneak off. The threat of 'I won't let you fall like Lucifer!' affected him in a way that was confusing. Emotionally.

He didn't do emotions. So he did as told. Eventually...everything turned out okay. More than. He was a bit surprised to hear the recounting of how it all happened. Biggest turn about that surprised everyone was Abel growing a spine and managing to lead. He didn't think it'd be a permanent thing...until he pass the training era and heard Lute call Abel Sir!

"As if you had to ask~" Emily smiled, leaning in over her shoulder, pressing her lips against hers. Before returning her head to resting on her shoulder. "So... whatcha doin'?" Emily had been away most of the day.

As soon as she'd been hunted down and told to go to Lute's office, Vaggie almost felt like a hollow formed in the pit of her stomach. It was unnerving; the past several weeks had been odd. There was a strange tension in the air between them and Lute had seemingly started to pull away. She wasn't aggressive anymore but Vaggie had no idea what that actually meant. Had Esperanza's fearful reaction to her actually triggered a change? Or was Lute just mentally checking out of their relationship?

Heaven was finally at peace with hell, and Pentious was finally feeling like this place could become home. Even with the nasty look they received from Lute whenever the common area was shared. They had been spending a lot of time with Sera, telling her about the human condition. Amazing, how little she truly knew of the suffering that could lead to one being a sinner.

That left it to reason, that Lute didn't.

Feeling like their spine had finally started to reconstitute, Pentious finally got the nerve to speak while she was staring.

"Tell me that I'm worth it and that I'm enough."

The words sank in and Agata's eyes widened in horror as she realized what that meant. "Oh, fuck, you heard that?!" She ran a hand over her face. It made sense, she supposed. Lute was Eleanora, after all. But still, she was mortified that Lute had heard their escapades.

Her cheeks burned with embarrassment as she turned away. "Dios mio-"
