down the rabbit hole, @faithscore . . . . .
another secret meeting. minerva was already agitated enough, and now they had to meet with the knave. siiiigh. well, it was already predetermined, so it wasn't like they could just back out. whatever, this would be quick and easy. they were just exchanging information.
the rabbit huffed as they sat on a stump, waiting for floriane's arrival. for once, it seemed that minerva was the early one, which was quite a rare concept. rather unusual, no doubt about it. they idly messed with their pocket watch, rocking back and forth on the stump despite how uncomfortable it felt.
suddenly, their ears picked up a certain sound, prickling in response. they felt a chill run down their spine, and they instinctively tugged a dagger from the sleeve of their crimson blazer, ensuring their own safety. the woods could be dangerous, after all. footsteps crunched the dirt underfoot, approaching from behind. on pure instinct, minerva thrust the dagger towards the sound, sighing in relief when the blade hit its intended target right on the mark.
however, just as minerva was about to deem themself safe, they heard a familiar voice cursing their name. ".....shit." turning around, they saw who they had wounded with the dagger: floriane.
"hey! you still alive down there?!" minerva offered their hand to help the other stand up. "i'm sorry for hurting you, but... don't scare me like that! next time, don't approach me from behind, okay?!"
