;w; Bill ft. Trashcan the cat by my lovely and talented friend @failuresimulator
My friend was wondering if you ever had a destined for meat growout bun you ended up liking too much so they stayed as breeding stock or pet even if it wasnt your original plan for that bun?
ten the chocolate satin is kiiiind of that situation.  though it wasn’t necessarily because i just liked him so much.  he is a sweet bunny and one of the most friendly and calm ones, but i didn’t keep him because of that.
we decided to keep one of the older growouts to breed simply because adún has cowhocked feet - which isn’t a problem in a buck too much, but it can be a death sentence for a doe.  i want to cross the harlequins back into the composites to reinforce those genes for more interesting litters.  i’ve had some interest in buying some of my rabbits live by trusted friends and family, and i’d love to have good rabbits with pretty colours to offer them.  because of adún’s foot issue, i have to scrutinize every kit he produces for cowhocks, and if they have them, i can’t sell them in good faith.  so we decided to keep one of the growouts with good feet to produce these rabbits to sell to other people.  ten has good feet, and a beautiful colour.  i had said that i wished i could keep him way back when he first furred out and i noticed he was chocolate, but it just kinda turned out that he was the prettiest buck with good feet that wasn’t already sold when we decided to hold back one.
adún is staying around, but he’ll just be a meat producer and none of his kits will be sold.  i just can’t feel good about selling someone a rabbit that could produce poor feet that could lead to birthing problems down the line, and it’s kind of a pain to have to check constantly as they grow and mark out the ones with bad feet...much easier to just Know, y’know?
i can’t honestly say if i’ll have more ‘meat bun fails.’  i have very clear guidelines for what i want in my rabbits and i form almost no attachment to the ones i know i’m going to butcher later.  i am very non-emotional when it comes to the livestock, haha, so idk if i would really be the one to end up with a bunch of meat mutts because ‘it was so sweet!’  of course, i say that...i could eat those words in a couple years when i have a huge barn and enough cages to house any rabbit i take the slightest fancy to :p

since I can't register on the smith micro forums atm, I figured I'd ask you- (possibly you could ask on forums?) but if a MS/CP brush is set to only draw in one color, how do you edit that to allow it to draw in whatever color?
Basically you have to take the original brush shape used for it and change it’s mode from color to grayscale and save it as a new brush shape. Then you go to the brush settings and change the shape to the new one.
Heya! was wondering what art program you use? really like your lines
Thank you!!
I use Photoshop- some of my favorite brushes are Kyle T Websters brushes, like Mr Natural which you can get for free on his gumroad :>
