Kaeya took a while to get used to keeping his wings tucked away all the time when he first came to Mondstadt, and used to spend a while fidgeting and usually wouldn’t tell anyone why

This got a lot worse when he lost access to his wings, but since he couldn’t tell anyone, it was a silent struggle that he eventually got used to

Diluc once discovered that sometimes he’d relax with a bit of a light massage to his back, and occasionally would help when he seemed particularly bad, back when they were still close

When Kaeya became able to use his wings again, that uncomfortableness was noticeable again, and he started making efforts to make sure he didn’t lose them again while continuing to keep his secret

And so now every now and then you might be able to catch sight of a fidgety knight rubbing at his back while he’s basically alone

I actually had this brain moment a while ago but we don’t mention that

This is a situation I’m sure has happened tho

Kaeya had an instance when he became the captain that he got severely poisoned with iron because of some blacksmith not listening to him when he said it was really bad for him

They essentially coated the iron in paint so it wasn’t noticeable and Kaeya didn’t realize why he was so sick until it was nearly too late

Needless to say, said blacksmith got a fucking scolding when they learned how it nearly killed him

If Kaeya got an anonymous gift of honey he would be just the happiest man alive for a lil bit because someone gave him honey of all things and no one ever gives him honey and honey is a glorious thing and he loves it
