» John Young The first time that it happened the young girl thought she was going insane. One minute she had been in her room and the next she was half way across the city in a park that her late grandmother used to take her to when she was younger. It was safe to say that she had had to do a lot of explaining when she returned home. Her parents had apparently been searching for her and couldn’t find her. Although she had teleported to the park it never occurred to her that she could teleport back home instead of walking. Fae knew her parents were worried as the telepathy had kicked in as well. Her parents thoughts were all over the place but she understood most of what she had heard. From then on out Fae had been out under close watch. She hadn’t exactly told her parents that she could teleport, it was more along the lines of that she had just wanted to get out of house for a while. Even though her parents didn’t believe her, they let it slide after a while. The words ‘just don’t do it again’ had echoed through her head several days afterwards due to the amount of times that her mother had repeated those same five words. Of course she tried to many times afterwards but this time she made sure that she didn’t get caught. Teleporting during the night was the easiest time for her parents not to be able to find out what their daughter could do. By the time that half one came about, Fae listened for any movement within the household before teleporting to the park. She figured that considering the park was a place she knew well that it would be easier for her to get to rather than other places that she barely knew of. Admittedly during her nightly walks, Fae had started touring the other areas. If she hadn’t found out that she could teleport and hear people’s thoughts, she would have never attempted this. As her parents said ‘it was too dangerous for a girl her age to be out during the night by herself.’ Fae had listened to them for a while before going against what she was told. The young girl was determined to prove them wrong and that she was able to leave the house and come back without being harmed. Her parents were way to overprotective at times and that often angered her. Instead of leaving the park as soon as she arrived, Fae ended up on the swing set and gazing around the darkening area. Not many people were out at this time of night which was fine for the girl. She enjoyed the peace when she was capable of getting it.
