New Reloop knobs
One of the easiest ways to make your boring mixer look better is to add some color to it. People have been doing it for years with good paint and good technique – but there are much easier ways to take something drab and call it your own. Mixers all use fader and rotary stems that can be used with other caps and knobs. I have personally been looking for some HAK knobs that would fit over my old Tascam XS-8 knobs. One day I will get around to spending a hundred bucks on what was only a fifty dollar mixer at the time. I suppose a person could get by with a can of plasti-dip spray paint – but this doesn’t really inspire confidence in the person who wants to look like a DJ with custom gear. Better caps and knobs do add a few features besides color. Some of them are rubberized for good feel, and other will actually glow in the dark which can be more than just an aesthetic addition. A little bit of color on a mixer can also take away from the serious nature that is sort of inscribed into them – given the audience they are normally built for. http://djworx.com/bpm-live-review-new-reloop-knobs/
