Iโm so grateful to have been raised at the waterโs edge, experiencing the ocean as a daily part of life for so many of my early years. From my Alaskan island home, Iโd stare across the waves and ponder what might lie beyond them (and beneath them!), enchanted by the sense of possibility and wonder the vast expanse of water inspired in my young mind... I still do this today, from the shores of Oregon or wherever else I happen be in the world. Now, staring across the water brings another comforting thought to my mind: no matter where I go, the same ocean is never very far away, and it connects me to home.
