Thankyou very much!! I really like this AU and I think about it all the time. I would like to state that they are very goofy and happy as teens but it took time for them to get there. There are still things that they're healing from and have had to work through.

Ok so my question is what is Mono’s origin in the self indulgent crossover? Plus how come Pretender can touch him even tho he’s a spirt?

heya!!! tysm!!!! i'm glad ur enjoying it!!! this is all a backlog of stuff from my archiveofourown thing lol - aslkdjf i don't really draw LN stuff anymore, but i can see that i was having a lot of fun with it back in the day, so i figured why not post it back up if not just to appreciate the joy i had when i was in it lol (it was that or try and hunt down the stuff back when i went by porquepork but that's a rough undertaking LKJDSF - also my man @kordeliiius expressed some interest ;) awesome art, awesome mind, shld go give em a look!)

man, as for your question - it'd be spoilers for the other half of the crossover lol (hanako) but if I were to go off on my own spin of it, it'd be because she was the one who summoned him by invoking the incantation. ;) she also has some associations with being an LN antagonist, so i think they have some thematic ties there that also gives them a connection. His origins is- interesting. i actually have a scrap in the queue that does a little spin on the hanako thing where instead of twins it's a splinter between time: you have mono as the broadcaster vs mono as we know him in the LN game. but let's just say ;) wish fulfillment doesn't come without its costs.
