I wonât lie. Even though I am glad I am further into my journey with queerness and more matured now, I do miss the euphoria that came with realizing Iâm queer and being new to it. I miss hearing people call me by different pronouns/a new name for the first time and it changing my life. I miss cutting my hair short for the first time just to try and having it be exciting and new. I miss going online and searching for every bit of content on my newfound identity that I possibly could because I was so excited to have a community to relate to. There are many things to love about being a queer person who has known who they are for a while but I do dearly miss the novelty that came with realizing Iâm not alone.
