Combining three Zebra pens to make one all-metal gel-ink EDC pen. Start with a Zebra F-701 Stainless Steel Pen: Replace crappy ballpoint refill with Zebra G-301 (gel ink) refill. What should I do if my therapist is really irritating and unhelpful but I *must* keep going? (there are some legal issues). The sessions are a waste of time and prevent me from doing better things with my time. She /insists/ I need to go because otherwise I'll be stressed, but *she's* the one causing me stress! If what you’re doing now isn’t working, the best thing to do is change it up. There are endless medications, therapies and therapists, and what I’ve found is that even though it’s a bit of a hassle to change, change can bring about great things. If you’re finding that your therapist isn’t clicking well with you, or isn’t doing things in a way that helps you, I recommend seeing your doctor and asking them for a referral to a different person. Seeing as it means you'll still be seeing someone, I think that it should be fine with the legal issues going on for you. Unfortunately in treatment, it takes a while to get the right balance of therapist and therapy, but it’s out there. Once you find it, it will make the biggest difference in how you can approach recovery.
One last thing that I want you to remember is there are two main parts to therapy, and therapy doesn't work without both of them. The first is having the right therapist, and one that works for you. Hopefully you'll be able to get that fixed soon. The second part is making sure that you go over what you learnt in the therapy session and apply it to your life. This is the step that a lot of people don't do because it honestly does require more effort, but without it, therapy won't work. So ensure that you think over what was said in the therapy session, how it applies to your life, when you could use it, and then put it into practice. Hopefully when you have a good therapist, you'll be able to do those things much easier.
