CHRISTMAS WITH THE BERRYS || RYDEL, CAMERON & CANDY
Arriving outside of the Berry household, Rydel looked up at the imposing house and took a shaky breath. Her heart was pounding harder than it ever had before, her palms were sweating and her breath seemed to be getting quicker by the moment. Was this a good idea? They could just turn back. Pretend she was sick and had never arrived, it wasn’t as if disappointing them was a new occurrence to Rydel. She hadn’t properly communicated with her fathers, other that rushed texts and forced Skype calls, for years, would a few more really kill them? Turning to look at her girlfriend sitting beside her to state these ideas to her, Rydel found her feelings easing by the mere sight of Cameron. She could do this, for her. Rydel knew that at least meeting her parents would mean a lot to the other woman and she couldn’t deny Cameron, even if she tried. “Okay,” Rydel finally breathed. “we should have a code word or something. Something we can say if its becoming too much. For you, I mean.” She quickly added, wishing to conceal her fears. “I know my fathers can be a little... Much.” She repeated lamely.
