ANOTHER RAINY DAY | 06
Itās been two days since Nick got arrested and he basically lost Katrina. And from what heās heard from the guards that itās also been raining for two days already. The heavens were clearly mourning for his lost as well and even on the day he got released, there was no sunshine to light up his life. Thankfully, with the help for Rob Hudson, Nick was allowed to go home. Who know the current bar owner was almost a lawyer 20 years ago? He didnāt know who to call so he just rang up the bar in hopes that someone he knew would come for him. Once Nick got out, Rob brought him to the hospital to properly bandage all his bruises as the officers only gave him small band aids. Another thing that was taken from him was his license and his motorbike. The school has agreed to confiscate it and Nick wouldnāt be allowed to get his license back unless he attends a three month seminar about drunk driving. He figured that was fair enough and at least, he was not kicked out of the university.Ā
After getting little rest at the hospital, Nick told Rob that he needed to go back to his dorm. Christian has a full schedule that morning so he has time to pack his stuff, remembering how Katrina said sheād have to tell Christian. Itās been two days. Who knows what couldāve happened outside his cell? When he got to the dorm, he saw his bags outside only which he assumed Christianās way of kicking him out. As he got closer, he saw that his clothes were there but his laptop and other stuff were either broken or ripped apart. Getting his things, he just decided to leave, getting looks from people in the hallway. He could only tell theyāve heard about his betrayal or his arrest. Going to the study hall, Nick got the same looks from people, even hearing some whispers about getting arrested or sleeping with his best friendās girlfriend. It was all too much for him to take and really, he couldnāt feel like he had anywhere else to go. So, he just went to Robās apartment and asked if he could crash in for at least two night, which he was allowed to. Nick didnāt go to any of his classes ā again ā that day and just rested before he has to meet with a new RA heās been given.
It was almost 8 in the evening, dark and the rain was heavy. Wearing a school hoodie and jeans, Nick also brought an umbrella as heād be walking around a lot that night. Heās thought about meeting Katrina all days but remembering what she said and how she looked at him, Nick decided against it. Walking inside the very familiar building, he met up with the RA and he was advised to wait a while. Sitting down the lobby, he now remembered this place when a girl came up to him.Ā āIām assuming youāre not here for me.ā She said and Nick turned to the familiar voice before smiling.Ā āAhh, I knew Iāve been to this place. Whatās up, Rachel?ā He asked, getting up to greet the girl with a hug.Ā āYou tell me, rockstar. Youāve been the talk of the entire campus for two days, you were missing and now you have bandages all over you. What are you doing here?ā She asked, Nick turning to the RA who was still busy trying to make room arrangements.Ā āYeah, Iām trying to find a new place to stay and I was directed here.ā Rachel nodded, getting an idea.Ā āHey, you should room in with me. My roommate just left two days ago so thereās a vacant spot in the dorm. I mean, if thatās okay with you?ā She asked and Nickās face lit up a little for the first time in a while. Guess itās best to room with someone he knew.Ā āYeah, sure. Thatād be awesome. I mean, if thatās cool with you.ā He asked, wondering if sheād be fine rooming with a guy. Rachel rolled her eyes at him and shook her head before giggling.Ā āOf course. Come on. Letās get you your room.ā She said, assisting Nick to inform the RA about the arrangement theyāve made. Once it was settled, Rachel invited him up to the room to chat and all but Nick wasnāt really feeling sharing so much tonight. Instead, he said heāll drop by in the morning as heās headed back to Hudsonās for some drinks. Walking out, he noticed it wasnāt raining as much anymore so he didnāt use his umbrella anymore.
