Look. I don’t need every dedf1sh to be going through it and a rigor mortising and have a broken jaw but like, I think more of them should have scars. Even the most soft interpretation of cannon is someone who let their inability to meet expectations made to grind them down that they let themselves die so that their art might mean something. That’s not a well adjusted person and they’re not gonna be smooth around the edges. Good if they’re healing but I don’t get where this soft facsimile gets so much material from, in side order they’re uninterested at best and in Japanese explicitly kinda rude. They’re not just cute nonverbal, let me see dedf1sh with blatantly harmful tendencies being kind of unpleasant all the time, and they lie when they feel pressured and lethargic and in pain, and they feel that way a lot but they’re fucking living, and they have plants they’re proud they haven’t killed yet, and f1sh doesn’t think they treat their friends nearly well enough but somehow they still love them and fuck does f1sh love them back.
