Fic plugging once more
So I now have 60k in my Durgetash pile and I'm just going to write a little post about ways in if you're interested in reading any of it.
(Of course, you can read all of them but...)
If you want the meat of the story...
Go for the trilogy. Starting with Monster, Mine in which Gortash tries to find the truth about Bhaal's Slayer, into The Portrait where a young artist takes on a commission to paint Lord Gortash's paramour, to Stonemilker which explores the unravelling of The Dark Urge, these fics are the ones with the big ideas, the depth of storytelling. All are between 5k-12k, and are M rated for canon typical violence and some sexual scenes.
If you want an overview of the relationship...
Then you want to dip into Even If Love, which is an anthology fic about a number of characters which you can read as stand alone chapters or as a whole to build a picture. This is M but carries serious CW for references to in-canon incest and adverse childhood experiences, as well as canon typical violence.
If you want shorter fills...
There's a few! From the pre-relationship Let Me Adorn You where Gortash pierces Manva's ears, to their first kiss, holding hands, and some spicier times including their reunion post-tadpole. There's a fic of his unfortunate end, and there's even an alternative timeline where they reach the end of everything together. These all have differing ratings, so check the tags.
If you want something completely different...
There's a modern AU. Saturday Night into Sunday Morning takes the two and places them in a contemporary London. It means they have... very different pressures on them, let's just say that. This is probably the most E rated. Modern allows for a bit of fun :)
