Thank you to everyone who submitted characters, wrote propaganda, and voted in these polls! The past four months have been loads of fun for me, and I hope they have been for you as well.
I have one more two-round bracket planned, which will start tomorrow, and after that I have a couple of bonus polls to post, and other than that the blog will be pretty quiet until next September. I will, of course, continue to reblog other polls that feature podcast characters, so please send any you find my way! If you really like my polls, you can follow my other tournament blog @best-shapes.
The 2024 Sexiest Podcast Character Bracket is currently under construction.

This is still a ways away, because I'm not doing the bonus brackets until after the main tournament, but
How are we evaluating characters for the Eye-Motif Podcast Narrators Bracket?
Sexiest Character
Heaviest Eye-Motifed Character
Most Narratorial Character
Sexy + Eyes
Sexy + Narrator
Eyes + Narrator
Whole Package (Sexy + Eyes + Narrator)
Voting ended onOct 27, 2023
Also I just realized when I first mentioned this I said "protagonist" and not "narrator" so can anyone tell me if Arthur/John Doe count as narrator(s)? I haven't listened to Malevolent but they are like 20% of why I'm going to do this bonus bracket, so I wouldn't want to disqualify them from the start.
I'm still taking submissions by the way!
Update October 14th: I am taking submissions for a couple bonus brackets.
Monster Bracket Rules:
Gotta be one-of-a-kind creatures that eith
any plans for the John from Malevolent? we do love a yellow king
No one from Malevolent was submitted. I might do a bonus round of the color-coded eye-symbolism protagonists (Cecil Night Vale, Jon Magnus Archives, Nikignik Hallowoods, John/Arthur Malevolent) but I would need someone else to provide a description of him/them because I haven't listened to Malevolent myself.
Round 1 had 3,803 votes over 7 polls, with over half of those votes coming from the Garfield vs Dyre poll. As these brackets weren't quite full, the heaviest hitters were saved for Round 2 (except for Garfield because I did not anticipate that he'd be so popular).
In the Divine Monsters/Monstrous Divines/Desiccated Husks of Once Great Beings/Uniquely Powerful People Who Cannot Be Mistaken For Human Bracket, we are judging based on pure sexiness, like with the main tournament.
For the Heaviest Eye-Motifed Narrator/Best Eye-Themed Protagonist Bracket, we are judging 39.7% based on eyes, 31.7% based on sexiness, and 28.7% based on narration. But mostly we are looking at the combination of those three aspects. These numbers come from your vote.
Other Ongoing Polls:
Audio Dramas vs Actual Plays, ends Saturday December 9th.
Well that was sure a tournament! No time to breathe though, because I have two bonus brackets lined up and need to go to work in the morning! We got 17 characters from 27 submissions, plus some others that I thought deserved a spot.

First off, I need you to vote for Hera in the Virtual Character Tourney.
Have you done that yet?
Alright. Thank you.
Round 3 had 2,670 votes over 4 polls, none of which topped the Round 1 Garfield the Deals Warlock vs Dyre Owed match. Now it's time for the Finals!

Round 4 (Finals):
Monster Bracket:
John Doe/The Entity (Malevolent) vs The Cairn Maiden (The Silt Verses)
Eye Bracket
Cecil Gershwin Palmer (Welcome to Night Vale) vs Jonathan Sims/The Archivist (The Magnus Archives)
Round 1 Masterpost. Round 2 Masterpost. Round 3 Master Post.
Frankly I do not think it's fair to make the other eye motif narrators compete against Jon Sims, especially since Cecil is already out of the equation. The fandom is massive, it's not a fair fight
Cecil is going to be in that bracket though. Regardless of the number of submissions, Cecil will be seeded in position 1 and Jon in position 2. Yes, the finals will likely be Cecil vs Jon, but I thought the Unscripted Bracket finals were going to be Pickman vs Gable, and look how that turned out.
