As someone with serious eye problems, I think about Silco's eye a lot lol (I love some eye angst). This entire time I thought he could see out of it (I don't know if we've been told otherwise). I like to imagine he's forced to see everything, all the time. Its creepy but also fucked up and emotionally (and probably physically) exhausting. But maybe the vision in that eye is bad. My left eye is my problem eye and besides terrible vision (it was going blind among other things), my eye gets tired very quickly and easily, but at least I can close or cover it. I've wondered why Silco never had his eye removed or at least covered it (not because of how it looks, but I can just imagine how bad it feels). At this point maybe its too dangerous to try to remove it without serious medical issues coming up, and maybe he can't cover it because of discomfort with the scars or something (and because its always open). And maybe he left it as it is so that Vander could see it and see what he'd done. Silco's not surprised when Vander apologizes to him, so he must have known it'd make Vander feel more guilty. /rambling about eyes lol
