Meio triste que acabou assim

It’s weird because you get in this habit of checking up on someone after they leave, checking their Snapchat, their Instagram, their tumblr or whatever they have. You convince yourself you miss them and that they were the only one for you and then life grabs you by the throat and takes you for a ride, you forget to check their story one day, then two, then three, then it’s a couple months later and you’re so caught up in someone else or school or work or yourself that you haven’t checked up on the past in months, and now when you do finally get around to checking up on them it isn’t a habit it’s just a wondering what they’ve been up to, nostalgia doesn’t grip you so tightly, it still tugs at your heart a little maybe itll always be a soft spot for you, but you don’t miss the past like you used too, because the past isn’t for you and you know that now. Because things change, and people are never permanent and feelings change too.
