Joseph Szabo, Almost Grown , 1978/ 2006.
Joseph Szabo thought arts and photography in Malverne High school , Long island. Himself he began taking lesson on how to photograph people and strangers. Szabo captured the life of the youth, teenage life, experimentation, carelessness and innocence.

Irving Penn’s work is very inspirational for this project as he always used natural lightning especially at the beginning of his career. He also avoided any disturbing location which could disturb the subject, mostly Penn used grey background.

Extended Development
During my 3b project I have focused a lot on the experimentation and additional artificial lightning. There was also loads of planing involve in the 3b project including make up, hair and styling. As this was a fashion shoot I felt like I give my self more work and worry than I originally should and I focused less on the photography. That is why I decided to use natural day light with the help of a reflector and less styling in the extended development projects, focusing mainly on the photography part and relation with the model.
Rereading the excellent works of poet Sarah Kay in anticipation for her Australian tour with Phil Kaye. They are two of my literary idols and one of the many reasons I got in to Literature. So excited to be going to a reading with @c.catolico later this month!! #sarahkay #extendeddevelopment
