[ Campania. The dreaded ship where over one thousand people lost their lives. Nobles of the highest status, commoners drinking at the lowest. Campania. The vessel where Elizabeth's world slowly crumbled around her.
It started when Elizabeth awoke in the arms of her brother, soon later catching notice of her missing fiancé. Upon multiple screams of protest from the random people around her, several attempts to hold her in the boat by her brother, she managed to scream and cry and pity herself out of his grasp and hold. She quickly hopped off the small dingy, slim digits curled tightly around the hilt of her sword. She began running in a random direction, trying to find the whereabouts of her fiancé, the person she vowed to protect.
Her brother's voice never grew faint, meaning he was following her. The fatal blow she'd deliver to each of the walking corpses she'd pass were done gracefully and swiftly, never a step missed. Elizabeth stopped running, her path blocked by dozens of the morbid creatures. With her halt, Edward managed to catch up to her, and he held back his ranting upon seeing what caused his ever so persistent sister, to stop.
Efficiently, most of the dolls were killed ( again? ) in a matter of minutes. Soon, as Elizabeth lunged forward, readying her sword's point to pierce the head of yet another thing, her footing was lost, and she fell to her knees. Then, it was as if her world stopped to slow motion, her brother's yells, her death-induced thoughts, the moment Edward jumped protectively in front of her. ]
[ Soon everything sped up, the splatter of her precious brother's blood staining her cheeks and his suit, and as his lifeless form fell to the water-filled ground, her screams grew in both pitch and noise. Who would hear her? With hundreds of other screams mixing with hers, with most of the truly living people evacuated safely, who would run to her rescue? And yet knowing that there was little to no chance anyone would, she couldn't will herself to rise and avenge her brother. Elizabeth screamed at herself to just stand up!
But she couldn't. And she was scared. ]
