Khaida had brought in a sketchpad and some charcoal for Cid, along with quite a few sachets of medicinal teas from the Shroud that...honestly tasted a hell of a lot better than the ones she’d sniffed at the Reach. She had not expected to find Nero and Cid curled up together. At all. Well, color her surprised. And cooing. The ‘aaaaaaaaaaaw’ that escaped her could not be anything less than cooing.
Whatever the deal was, the two looked godsdamned precious and like they’d actually slept.

She was still surprised that they had another Imperial defector in their group. A high ranking one at that. And now that she had time to breathe, time to start processing things and happenings and being more than just lost and angry and hurt, she intended to talk to said defector. Even if she didn’t have the comfort of her mask. Gods she wished her mask hadn’t broken in the scuffle with the Siren and her minions, leaving her in need of a new one.
“...Nero, right?” The Waking Sands was still a mess, but at least it wasn’t...wasn’t the bloody mess it had been when she’d found Noraxia, and she still knew it like the back of her hand, so finding the newcomer to their...their group wasn’t hard. “We should talk.”

Cid was out cold, and while she was a Warrior of Light, there was a very large difference between wielding her greatsword, facing off against primals and...well, carrying dead weight while trying to not aggravate the healing wound of said dead weight. She really had not thought the whole thing through. Which meant she was going to need help. Khaida sighed in relief when it didn’t take her long to find someone, and cleared her throat. “Ah...Nero? I ah...I may have coaxed Cid to sleep, in a manner, and uh...I was wondering if I might enlist your aid in getting him from his workbench to a cot or bed or something?”

She was more than glad for the Crystal Braves’ formation. It gave her more time to spend in Mor Dhona, more time to keep an eye on Cid, and just...not be Eorzea’s savior for a little. It also gave her more time to spend around the Doman refugees, who brought out all the curiosity in her. [Especially the Garlean-born Doman. For a few reasons, including the fact she was going to do everything she can to see there weren’t any ridiculous bumps in the road to him and Cid becoming friends. The two obviously needed intellectual equals, and no one else around, possibly no one else alive fit the bill.
“What are you working on?” Hopefully she hadn’t managed to sneak up on him...she kept meaning to wear more on her person to make noise...
