Trekking Peninsula Mitre [460km, 60-days] Day 21 (187km from Ushuaia): Arrived here with 2 hours of light left and had just over 2km to go down to Puerto EspaΓ±ol. Problem was that most of that was dense forest which was already dark, so trying to do it after sunset was not an option. I found a spot sheltered by some thick shrubs from the wind, on the turba (bog) which meant I also had access to water. The next morning (when this photo was taken), I headed down. It took me over 3 hours just to get to the forest and then still had to cross the Rio Bonpland. Luckily it was also low tide so no problem crossing. ______________________ Having a tent that I could pitch in extreme conditions, both weather and terrain-wise was made possible through the support of @privateguideworldwide Thanks so much!! _____________________ . . . #wildcamping #trekkingpeninsulamitre #tierradelfuego #hiking #wildernesstrekking #instatrek #doitechile #peninsulamitre #forgottenland #patagoniaargentina #explorepatagonia #visitargentina #expeditiontraining #turismotdf #turismoargentina #turismodeaventura (at Puerto EspaΓ±ol, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxaIDZwgJqX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=wsj0bf38l2km
