The law of the land, honestly. At one point, Poppy would have been the very image of righteous fury. In her youth, sheโd condemn such selfishness-- how could one think themselves so important? What could be worth more than the lives of others?
The answer, she found, was power. The status quo. ย Justice.ย
She understood then how selfish she had been to think that individual lives were more valuable than thousands more.ย
