Planning a Terraria 1.4.5 stream
So I had an idea in my head for a while. That idea was to do a long livestream of Terraria 1.4.5 and see where this would all go from there, back then, and this was before life got put on hold due to drama, landlord, and a whole host of issues, like a channel I had gotten removed, my pc wifi died, and pc bsod and locking up on startup, and having to lose data. and not being in a good mental stateβ¦
Damn, we did alot today
5 bosses Alot of powering up Built a plantera arena woo
The 5 bosses:
also... BEHOLD!! The villages have been reclaimmed :D
Though I did a crappy job cleaning up the desert village before, so when the crimson reach the borders, it corrupted the bottom 2 houses anyways, so I spent another hour after the stream digging another border further away from the village and purifying the crimson above it to keep the village safe ._.
curse this song
It broke my fingers >:(
(skill issue)
y'all ever think about how this mans has boned only three people in my time with this blog (all in separate universes but STILL LMAO)

Spent a bunch of time as SecretMcAgent today and one of the first things that needed doing was killing the Eater of Worlds again, because she was ONE shadow scale short of being able to craft the void bag and void vault. Plus she needed a ton more jungle spores and bones, but Eater of Worlds was required.
And now that I'm reviewing and looking at the screenshot, did I not take my buff potions? No wonder it went the way it did! She had to take a healing potion mid-battle, but at least this time, the battle was in a more open area.
A bit later, noodling around and splitting some of my attention off to a text chat with Bob and his tales of starting an Expert world with a new character and I said, "meh, slime is falling from the sky"
As SecretMcAgent and her snow flinx minions killed slime after slime, I was eyeing my base and thinking, "huh, there's no solidifier anywhere, so I guess SecretMcAgent hasn't actually fought King Slime yet?"
I was the two snow flinx minions that actually dealt the killing blows. I'll take the win.
For creating the void bag / void vault, I needed more bones, so it was off to the dungeon, where I fell into a spiky pit (something which happens fairly regularly) and was not able to magic mirror away before dying.
I'd taken a screenshot early in the session to show the contents of the RESPAWN chest, but this one is so much better since SecretMcAgent is completely unequipped beyond the three initial copper tools.
The RESPAWN chest is set up to let me quickly re-load my hotbar and reequip armor and some critical accessories.
SecretMcAgent then crafted the void vault / void bag combo so that when she went back to the spiky pit in the dungeon where she died before, she'd be sure that ALL of her stuff got picked up before magic mirroring home to sort it all out, repack the RESPAWN chest and get any extra loot put away.
After reading Bob's comments on Expert mode, I thought I'd give it a look. I love the early game phase, and I try to be pretty cautious, so I made a brand new character, DeathCat, who is a classic character so no dropping all the goods upon death, and an Expert mode world named DeathCat'sExpertWorld.
Here's DeathCat getting hunkered in to survive the first night:
She'd find herself digging horizontally just two or three blocks under the ground, notching up to only one block thick to pick up fallen stars and any gels dropped from the Guide killing slimes. I think she got at least 20 stars by morning.
The world is grim, though, with a crimson biome just west of spawn, past three living trees, one of which had a finch staff in it, so that was nice.
To the east, there are two oasis biomes relatively close to each other in one vast desert. That's where DeathCat died the one time. She was able to venture through the deserts only to find another crimson biome on the other side.
She's got some worms and made a reinforced fishing rod, plus the merchant moved in, so she also has a bug net. Next time for DeathCat is to attempt to fish in the oases for a magic conch and whatever else she can catch.
SecretMcAgent's next moves are to find the Stylist (she showed up on the lifeform analyzer, but then despawned before I could find her, and the next time SecretMcAgent went back there, she found the Tavernkeep!) and to take on Queen Bee to get the Witchdoctor.
Emerald still needs to kill the Destroyer.
I haven't played Wino in quite some time, and some of that's a good thing. Last I left her, she'd killed Plantera, so she'll likely concentrate on biome spread for a while next time I find myself deep enough in my cups to give Wino a run.

This might be controversial but Iβm just gonna say it
Shield of Cthulhu?
MID.
The dash isnβt that good. The i-frames are a little handy (esp in legendary mode) but the shield bash has fucked me over way too many times. There are just better things you can use instead of the shield.
Master Ninja Gear and Crystal Assassin armour better.
