@DaveCorn: A 500gb drive should be enough but of course depends on how much/ the quality of what you're shooting. If it's just casual filming for social media sharing 500gb will be fine. But take two drives if you're able, at least one of them rugged. Always keep your drives in different places. If you're travelling light an alternative is to store data on SD cards, I don't know enough about cloud storage but would imagine finding sufficient bandwidth in remote areas would be tricky, especially for backing up video.

@MarkKalch: I use 500GB, plenty big enough for me. Budget permitting, Lacie do a great rugged hard drive at 500gb or 1tb. San Disk also make these tiny bits of awesomeness.

“A careless word…a needless sinking.”  Beautiful lyrics. Songs in their very essence. Recorded probably in a basement or a bedroom or something but these are some of this year’s nicest songs written.  It’s like pavement or fog have gone acoustic, threw some strange repetitive keyboard loops, add some banjo (in a track) and focus on the basics. This one man band (nothing else known) is too talented to be absorbed in the music industry. “chokes on stereo”, “show me the shipwreck” and “no needless sinking” should me selling millions. Words are not enough so I return to “lamps for the wayward chain”.. [Fervent]
