The Causes of Shorter Life Expectancies in America

I started a FitBit challenge for some friends that kicked off Sunday. While in the top 3 of 10 I’ve still got major steps to get in my midnight. My walking started at 6:30am with 30 mins on the treadmill, then an outdoor walk with a beautiful friend, then another walk in my neighborhood totaling about 12k steps. Walking solo in my neighborhood I’m either listening to music or a podcast. I wanted to share with you what inspired me as I walked my neighborhood. I listened to Joel Osteen’s message on “Unexpected Sunshine.” So, the focus was on when you think life is hard and you’re faced with challenges, never lose faith. At some point, there will be sunshine, a breakthrough, a phone call, the right person, opportunity etc. What resonated with me was having the right ATTITUDE while you’re waiting for that sunshine. It’s hard! Sometimes we want to throw pity parties, or we’re negative and we try to rush God or question HIM. Well, is that a true demonstration of faith? While we wait, we’re supposed to focus on his fruit...his patience with us, blessings, his goodness, faithfulness (Gal. 5:22) not what we lack or what we’re waiting for. SO, I’m checking myself and no that just doesn’t mean walking around with a smile. I’m working on my attitude. I am a BELIEVER and I’m going to exude that in every area of my life…especially my attitude:) Just sharing…
