nigel is completely devoted to the  K N D , and if you know his character, this is pretty obvious. he puts it before everything. —before his family, friends, and girlfriend. even his OWN needs. a completely unhealthy lifestyle.

when nigel moved to virginia, he was around four years old, and moving to an ENTIRELY new country is pretty hard. especially for someone that age. he knew NOTHING about the area. everything was different. he had no friends, the area was strange, and he was just kinda tossed into this new area with the hope that he’d be able to fit in.

it was hard for him, i mean why wouldn’t it be? — — — and i mean it was pretty weird to find a freaking treehouse sticking out of your house when you moved in. he found it difficult to make friends at first- but slowly he settled in.

he was never really involved with anything until the DCFDTL realized he was friends with some KND members and decided to delightfulize him— the process failing and rendering him bald. before that nigel never showed any interesting in the KND. his parents were interesting, the teachers as school weren’t that bad, he didn’t get bullied often, so he didn’t understand what they were fighting for. but after that? he realized the danger that kids were in.

he worked ENDLESSLY to get accepted into the organization— even numbuh 274 took interest in him and wanted to test out his skills in combat. and after everything he went through, you know what? he FAILED. he didn’t get in. and that was devastating. abby had to change his scores for him.

since then he was DETERMINED to prove that test wrong. he’d be a GREAT operative, and nothing would stop him. he got promoted to sector v leader, he worked harder than ever before and even now he still just… KEEPS WORKING.

the kids next door gave him EVERYTHING. it gave him friends, it gave him purpose, it gave him confidence, it made him who he is. and therefore it’s his number one priority before everything.

lizzie can’t compete with the  K N D . —it’s sad but it’s true. nigel cared for her, he loved her, but the kids next door always came first. while there were times nigel dropped EVERYTHING to help lizzie, it was more often than not that he ditched her to go on missions and just— keep working. work is what keeps him going, it’s one of the things he has the most fun doing.
