A Hypothetical I Came Up With When I Woke Up Today
(Please reblog this after voting.)
Imgaine you're an exorcist in a fantasy world, and you've been called in to deal with a ghost that's been tormenting a married couple. There's no children involved, because that might affect your answer. Along the way, you learn that the ghost in question is the ex-husband of the woman. Okay, spiteful ex, not a real complication.
But then you learn that the ex-husband was a soldier who was out on deployment when his wife divorced him to marry his brother, he only learned this when he returned from deployment, and committed suicide in response.
Now he haunts the brother and wife who betrayed him, and will keep doing so until they divorce.
What Do You Think Is The Right Thing To Do?
Exorcise the ghost. He needs to move on.
Refuse to help the couple. They brought this on themselves, let them fix it.
I don't know.
